 Dustin Kinder
 State FFA President
from the Livingston FFA Chapter
2000-2001

My FFA Career
I served my Texas FFA State Officer year in 2000 - 2001 @ the Fort Worth Convention. Some of my fondest memories that year were staying in a new member's home each night while traveling across Texas. Leadership camps (both coming up through the organization and then facilitating as a state officer).  State officer team camaraderie.

SAE's
In High School in exhibited steers and barrows.

LDES's
I spent countless hours preparing for Leadership contests, specifically our chapter conducting team that made state 3 out of 4 years.

A few of my favorite memories!
Just to name a few of my favorite times in FFA, I would say attending State FFA conventions - staying in hotels, spending time with friends, and meeting new ones across the state.

What did FFA do for you?

What I continue to utilize from my FFA experiences are confidence in my own abilities, motivation to push through boundaries, to pursue the tasks that I take on with purpose and passion, and to be service minded toward others.

My Agriculture Teachers

My ag teachers were Daniel Waneck and Tommy Snook. We spent many hours together planning, preparing and working for our chapter and community.  We continue to be close friends to this day.

Now

The skills I learned through FFA has taken me around the world through various career opportunities.  I graduated Texas A&M University with a BS in Agriculture Development (Class of 2005).  I’m married to my wife Ashley and have been blessed with two girls, Tatum and Peyton.  Currently, I am the corporate Water Resources Manager at EOG Resources and finishing my MBA at Rice University (Class of 2021).
