My FFA Career
I served as an FFA officer on the chapter, district, area, and state level. As a State FFA officer, I got to travel across Texas visiting FFA Chapters, speaking at banquets, conventions, and camps. Getting to spend time on the road with my officer team was certainly memorable but many of the friendships I developed from the Sam Houston District, Area 9, and Texas travels are still a part of my life to this day. No other program builds character, lifelong friends, and offers you better opportunities to find your own path than the FFA.

SAE's
I exhibited barrows.

LDES's/ CDE’s
I learned parliamentary procedure from my Ag Teachers. Those skills still serve me in my career.

Some of the many of my fondest memories with my ag teachers and members:
- National FFA convention trip in 1994 with Matt Martin and Joseph Pedigo
- District FFA Fun Days in Grapeland, Texas
- Ag trips with my ag teachers and friends all over Texas and more.

What did FFA do for you?
FFA provided me with multiple scholarships to help me get a college education.

My Agriculture Teachers
My Ag Teachers were Tommy Snook and Dennis Coker. They instilled in us the need to be motivated and have the drive to be excellent in all things we pursued.

Now

I graduated from Texas A&M in 2002 with a BS in Agricultural Engineering.  After that, I graduated from the University of Texas School of law in 2005.  After graduating law school, I practiced real estate law in Fort Worth for five years.  In 2010, I moved to Oxford, England where I obtained a Masters in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford.  Presently, I am a Professor of Practice at the Rawls Business School of Texas Tech University where I am the director of the Center for Real Estate.  I have been married to my beautiful wife Leah since 2004 and we have one daughter, Hallie May.
